Who should avoid millets?

People with thyroid issues should avoid consuming millets. Millets contain goitrogens which can interfere with the absorption of iodine. Although cooking millets may reduce the goitrogen content to some extent, it does not completely negate its effect on iodine absorption. Therefore, it is advisable for individuals with thyroid issues to avoid consuming millets.
